Join the Love & Lemons Cooking Club Challenge this month! It's easy to enter, and one lucky winner will receive a prize. Find all the details below.
Our Cooking Club is a fun way to celebrate the Love & Lemons community of readers. The concept is super simple—each month, I choose a recipe. You make it, and you leave a comment on the recipe’s blog post. At the end of the month, I randomly select one winner to receive a prize.
I love the sense of community that comes from so many people cooking one recipe each month. We’re kicking off our January challenge today with our lentil soup recipe, and I hope you’ll join in the fun. Here’s how it works:
Join the Love & Lemons Cooking Club
- Each month, I choose one seasonal recipe. Sign up for our email list so you’ll know as soon as I share each month’s recipe.
- Make that recipe during the month.
- Leave a comment (include your first and last name) on the challenge recipe’s blog post by the end of the month. This time, the deadline is January 31!
- For a bonus entry, send a picture of what you made to LoveAndLemonsCookingClub@gmail.com.
- For another bonus entry, post your photo on Instagram, tagging @loveandlemons and #loveandlemonscookingclub.
THIS IS A CHANGE from past cooking club challenges. A photo entry is no longer required. This month, comment on the recipe’s blog post to secure your spot in the drawing!
The Prize: A $200 Whole Foods Gift Card!
At the end of the month, I’ll randomly select a winner and share some of your photos. This time, we’re giving away a $200 Whole Foods Gift Card.
January’s Recipe: Lentil Soup
This month, we’re making my classic lentil soup recipe. Seasoned with aromatic veggies, fresh herbs, and spices, it’s nourishing, comforting, and SO flavorful. If you need to warm up on a cold day, a bowl of this soup will more than do the trick!
This recipe has been one of my favorites for years, and I’m so excited for you to try it this month. It’s easy to make with mostly pantry ingredients, and it’s better leftover than it is freshly made. The flavors deepen as it sits in the fridge! I recommend making a big batch on the weekend. You’ll love having it handy for quick meals all week.
Enjoy!

Happy cooking!
Adding this to our rotation! I’m so proud I made this one within the month you posted it! 😆🤷
Happy New Year! Made this lentil soup with plenty of veggies and an entire bag of chopped kale. I garnished with a large dollop of Greek yogurt, Italian parsley and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Simply delicious and plenty left for the week.
I love lentils soup so I can’t wait to try this recipe .☺️
This sounds like fun
I love this soup, have made it last month and this week. It’s a great warm soup for winter. Thank you
Where’s the lemon. This sounds perfect, but I usually always add a lemon to the soup after it is cooked. Did the vinegar replace the lemon?
Just wondering.
Hi Linda, yes, the vinegar replaces the lemon but you could use lemon instead if you want to.
Love your recipes! This was so delicious! Such a good warm and cozy meal for the winter!
